TASK FORCE 68

United States Paintball

Ceremonial Awards, Badges & Event awards

These awards are authorized to put on individual profiles on team pages.
Coalition Awards are usually recommended by team captains and go up to the staff for approval. They can also be recommended by Officer's In Charge (OIC's) at events for approval by the staff.
Team awards are recommended by other team members and approved by team captains.
Event awards are "blanket awards" everyone gets when they attend an event.
Devices will be small lamps for each additional award that person gets of the same award.
EXAMPLE: SGT Garrison goes to OK DDAY in 07, gets first award, then goes to 09 OK DDAY. SGT Garrison will then receive a lamp to put on the ribbon. Currently, I am trying to re-find the ribbons online to show what they look like. If you would like it all emailed out to you, let me know, I have a copy saved.

Sincerely,

Colt Dickerson, MAJ
Coalition Commander

AWARDS:

COALITION AWARDS:

Anyone is eligible to receive a coalition award as long as they are on a team within the coalition. All coalition awards must be approved by the Coalition XO or CO. All medals/awards will be awarded by each team captain with the exception of the Medal of Honor, Medal of Bravery or Bronze Star. Those will be awarded by the Coalition Commander at the next “in-person” meeting.

In order of precedence (highest to lowest), including stipulations/criteria:

1. Medal of Honor

Person that is awarded must have done something extremely outstanding for his or her team during a scenario event that is recognizable by everyone else on the team.

Example:

SSG Smith of Urban Legend, who was playing for the BLUE Team at Blah Blah scenario on July 7, 2008, is assigned to take an objective with three other players. They accomplish their mission against high odds and SSG Smith helped save two of his players from getting out during the mission, leading to an overall victory for their team/side.

2. Medal of Bravery

Person that is awarded must have demonstrated a high level of bravery or courage during an event that each player on the team can vouch for.

Example:

SSG Smith of Grim Reapers went out into full open cover to act as a decoy for his team so they could knock out players to make an advance. During this engagement, SSG Smith tossed a grenade in a bunker close to him to help his fellow teammates advance as well, while still acting as decoy.

3. Bronze Star

Person must have done something extremely honorable or brave but not quite as extensive as above.

Example:

SSG Smith of the Spartans took a squad of two other players to knock out a group of players trying to counter-flank his unit. This action resulted in helping his team accomplish a secondary mission during the event.

4. Medal of Distinguished Service

Person must have served on the team they are currently on for a minimum of 8 months. Once the eight month mark hits, person must have attended at least 75% of all events that team has attended.

Example:

SGT Baker of Phoenix Company has served on Phoenix Company for the last 11 months and has attended all events that Phoenix Company has been to or hosted.

5. Coalition Distinguished Unit Ribbon

Any unit participating in a joint-coalition event may be awarded this. This award is something the OIC of each event can award to who they think was the most distinguished during an event and they did not earn a field award such as Most Valuable Team, etc.

6. Volunteer Medal

Person must have shown the initiative to volunteer for tough assignments at an event or has volunteered to take on extra duties within the Coalition.

Example:

GySGT Napper has always volunteered to go and accomplish tough missions during events, such as taking the castle against an enemy force much larger than her own. She has also volunteered and was appointed to train combat photographers for teams to catch teams in action at events.

7. Coalition Event Medal

Person shows up to an event and is on a team that is in the coalition and there must be at least one other Coalition team present at the event.

Example:

Team Sparta and Grim Reapers attended Fulda Gap 08. All members present at this event on each team will receive the Coalition Event Medal for service during the event.

8. Coalition Training Medal

Person completes a joint-team training exercise. Each member of each team will receive this award when they complete training like this.

Example:

Two or more teams from the coalition were present for CAG Paintball’s Recon Training course. Each team successfully completed training.

9. Coalition Force Medal

Team joins the Coalition and is added to the ranks. Each member within that team will receive this award upon acceptance into the coalition.

10. Military Service Ribbon

Players that have served or are currently serving in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard are eligible to receive this award. There is a separate one for each branch.

  ARMY, NAVY, USAF, USMC, USCG

TEAM AWARDS:

Example:

2. Heroic Action Medal

Person is awarded this by the team captain during an event the team participates in and that person is recognized having done something heroic during the event, but does not receive the Bronze Star or higher.

3. MVP Medal

Person is nominated as MVP of the team during an event.

4. Most Valuable Team Medal
