TASK FORCE 68

United States Paintball

Phoenix Coalition and Teams

Phoenix Coalition

The Phoenix Coalition was started in April of 2008, starting with Phoenix Company Paintball Team and Urban Legend Paintball Team. The mission of the Phoenix Coalition is to have a way for paintball teams that play scenario, woodsball and MIL-SIM/Tactical teams to practice together; when teams attend events, they will have allies from other teams in the coalition; to train players to be better at scenario paintball and to help teams coordinate events better; last but not least, to uphold the highest traditions of the sport of paintball and practice honor and integrity within a team environment.

Currently we have 6 Active Teams in the Coalition. The Phoenix Coalition is only as strong as the teams involved. It will only survive as a strong organization as long as the teams stay on top of their game, attend all the meetings to notify the coalition of updates and upcoming events, etc.
Every December the coalition will hold elections for the following positions:
State Commander
Regional Commander
Coalition Commander
These practices will be described in the following paragraph.

State Commander, XO and Sergeant Major (SGM)
Responsible for all the teams within his or her state. They make sure the teams in their state are up to par on coalition practices, events and attend regularly scheduled practices. They are also repsonsible for reporting to the Regional Commander any significant changes to any of the  teams in their state and are also responsible for submitting recommendations to the Coalition Commander for new teams to join the Coalition. How the State Commander is selected:
One of two ways, basically the State Commander can be appointed to his/her position by the Coalition Commander and/or the Coalition XO  OR the State Commander can be voted in by a different states teams and every player from that state votes after reading the biographies of each of the team captains in the state going for election. For example, since we have only two states in the coalition, one state would hold a vote for the other state so that way there is no conflict of interest. State Commanders are responsible for appointing the XO and SGM of the state once there are enough teams to do so.

Regional Commander, XO, SGM
Regional Commanders are responsible for everything that happens within their regions. They are responsible for the same thing the State Commander is, but on a bigger level. It is up to the Regional Commander to appoint the XO and SGM of the Region. The Regions are as follows:

Coalition Commander, XO, SGM
The resposibility of the Coalition Commander is to make sure that all teams in the coalition abide by the coalition rules and standards and uphold the highest tradition of the sport of scenario paintball. The Coalition Commander is also responsible for any changes for the coalition rules and any conflicts teams might have between one another. The Coalition Commander is elected by the Regional Commanders and State Commanders and the previous Coalition Commander is responsible for nominating two people for the next Coalition Commander for the next season. The Coalition Commander appoints the Coalition XO and SGM in December.

COALITION STANDARDS/RULES

ONE
All teams in the Coalition must maintain a uniform for their team.

TWO
All teams must have an up-to-date roster and chain of command that is in accordance to a military rank structure.
Rank structures will be one unified rank system that are viewable under the rank structure link at the top of the page. Each team must have this documented somewhere for official use for coalition events and awards.
THREE
Meetings of the Coalition are required for team captains, State Commanders, Regional Commanders and the Coalition Commanders. Everyone else is welcome to attend, but it is not required.
FOUR
All teams must follow the orders of the chain of command at events and at meetings and for orders passed down from above them. Failure to do so will be a suspension from the coalition and that team will not be allowed to re-join until that particular team appoints a new team captain. Then they will have to re-apply to join again.
FIVE
All teams must keep their word on going to events that they sign up for. Even if one person from the team shows up, someone must attend if the team says they will be at a certain event.
SIX
All teams will be responsible for learning a standard set of tactics based off of military training. To receive a copy of this information, contact the Coalition Commander for now. Later there will be a Coalition XO that will be in charge of putting out new tactics and making sure each team knows how to do it so they can learn it.
SEVEN
Respect everyone within the Coalition and otherwise at events and outside of paintball. We don't want a bad name being made out of us.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in suspension from the Coaliton until a later date or when the team gets a new team captain, depending on the discrepency and infraction. The team must agree to these rules prior to joining the Phoenix Coalition.
